For the Afternoon Report the Surf is Slightly bigger than yesterday. The waves are in the Knee to maybe Thigh High Range with a slight swell pulse form the SE. We will have a Low tide at 5:02 this afternoon and the water temp is 71 degrees. The surf should slightly improve as the tide bottoms out and starts it's way back in all the way til sunset. Tonight's forecast is for SW winds 10-15 then N at 10-15 for Sat. Morning. So if you want to float around and possibly paddle into a small mushy wave or two just to cool off for the evening get on it. If not we will Update you again in the Morning here on OBX Live Surf.

  • No Logos = Flat or Really Bad. Pretty much unrideable! A good time to get other things done.
  • 1 Logo = Rideable but not good form. Might not be worth the time or effort but there could be a few okay waves.
  • 2 Logos = Could be fun. Rideable and a few okay waves to be ridden.
  • 3 Logos = Fun! Better than the average day. Worth paddling out depending on the surface conditions.
  • 4 Logos = Really fun. Paddle out if you can. One of the better days of the year.
  • 5 Logos = Rare Epic or All Time conditions. Quitting work or skipping school is an option but not encouraged. Why are you still reading the report! Paddle out now!
